Au Cirque

On est alle au cirque dimanche. Evan a adore les elephants, les "tight rope walkers", et les tigres. Elia a meme regarde une bonne partie!
We went to the circus on Sunday. Evan loved the elephants, the tight rope walkers, and the tigers. Even Elia watched a good amount!Elia tres jolie dans sa robe!

At the "pre-access show" on the stage, to get up close to an elephant, stilt-walkers, etc. A guy on very high stilts walked right over me and Elia, very, very slowly, laughing at my somewhat worried expression.
Au spectacle avant le vrai, sur la scene, pour etre tout pres d'un elephants, les gens sur des echasses, etc. Un jeune sur des echasses tres hautes a marche par-dessus moi et Elia--il rigolait parce que j'avais un peu peur.Tanusha et Elia jouent ensemble...

Evan fixait le spectacle sans arret; il ne bougeait pas, ne voulait meme pas manger, tellement qu'il etait fascine. Mais voila un petit sourire...

Evan was staring at the show the whole time; he didn't move, he didn't even wanted to eat, he was so transfixed. But here's a little smile...

Elia souffle!

Elia blowing her nose! Exciting, eh? Well, I think it's quite adorable... Don't worry, she blew her nose for real just before the video to empty it out so that there was nothing shown on tape).

Elia se mouche! Tres interessant, non? Moi, je le trouve assez adorable... Ne vous inquietez pas, elle s'est mouchee just avant la video pour se vider le nez, alors il n'y a rien montre ici).

Hawaiian Day, and the Tomato King

Today was "Hawaiian Day" at the daycare, so the kids wore hawaiian garb and there was a luau (or as Evan would say, "loo-how") at noon. Here they are playing together before heading off to school!

Aujourd'hui etait "Hawaiian Day" a la creche, alors les enfant ont porte des vetements style "hawaiian", et il y avait un "luau" (ou, comme Evan dit, "lou-how") a midi. Les voila en train de jouer ensemble avant d'aller a l'ecole!
And Elia "petting" Nina (OK, more like tapping...strongly).
Et Elia "caresse" Nina (d'accord, c'est plutot "taper").
And Papa, the tomato king! Normally I'd just put one photo, but how to choose between the cute smile and the studly zucchini muscle?

Et Papa, le roi de tomates! D'habitude je mettrais juste une photo, mais comment choisir entre le sourire mignon et le muscle courgette?

Oh, and Elia's walking now, too--not just a few steps, but for reals this time!
Oh, et Elia marche maintenant, aussi--pas juste quelques pas, mais pour du vrai!

Also it's kind of funny that it's the same song Clement danced to when he was 2 years old, and we put that on the blog too! (Clement et Catherine dansent)

Aussi je trouve ca marrant, que c'est la meme chanson a laquelle Clement dansait quand il avait 2 ans, et on a mit ca sur le blog aussi! (Clement and Catherine dancing)

And, nothing like a little Journey at the dinner table... Note how I conveniently edited the video that JR took, clipping it short right when I bolted out singing at the top of my lungs (yup, Journey does that to me).

Et, rien come un peu de musique de Journey a la table du diner... Remarquez bien que j'ai coupe la video que JR a prise, juste avant que j'ai commencer chanter a pleins poumons (oui, cette musique me fait faire ca).
