Catherine, Fred, et Clement sont arrives hier. C'est vraiment un plaisir d'etre tous ensemble, de jouer avec les petits, de les regarder jouer ensemble, d'aller dans le jacuzzi.... Apres 7 ans en Californie, ils sont enfin la!

Voila Clement et Evan, ils ouvraient le cadeaux de Marraine et Tonton...
Et Evan marche avec Marraine, Tonton derriere...
Clement et Evan jouent "ensemble", Clement a la peche, Evan est dans le pate (il venait de se reveille).

Hier soir, Evan s'est bien amuse avec Papa.
Yesterday evening, Evan had a great time with Papa.Et Papa a meme lache Evan pendant deux secondes...regardez comment il se tient debout tout seul dans l'eau!
And Papa even let Evan go for a couple seconds...look at how he is standing up all by himself in the water!Il regarde son Papa avec amour...
He looks lovingly at his Papa...
Il aime battre des bras pour arroser tout le monde a cote. Mais pour Evan, ca ne l'embete pas du tout, meme avec de l'eau dans les yeux et dans la bouche!
He likes beating his arms to splash everyone closeby. But for Evan, it doesn't bother him at all, even with water in his eyes and mouth!

Finishing in record time! At an incredible speed of almost 22 minutes per mile!

Don't be fooled...Our time was actually 2:43, since it took us about 15 minutes to cross the start line...And there was such an enthusiastic crowd waiting for us...

Happy Mother's Day!

Bonne Fete des Meres!

Ce matin a 6h30, Evan s'est reveille. Jean-Robert s'est leve pour aller le chercher. J'ai appele Papa du lit, je voulais faire un bisous a Evan. Mais il a prit Evan et ils sont alle quelque part pour quelque secondes. Et puis, ils etaient la, a la porte de la chambre, Jean-Robert tenait Evan dans ses bras et Evan tenait une petite boite avec ses deux mains.

"Tiens, Maman! J'ai un cadeaux pour toi!" J-R dit dans une voix de bebe.

Evan ne voulait pas lacher la boite, alors j'ai du la decolle de ses mains (pas exactement une manniere d'accepter avec courtoisie!). Je l'ai ouverte, et j'ai vu ce collier magnifique, en or blanc avec des saphires et diamants (la photo ne le rend pas aussi beaux que c'est en realite!):
J'ai de la chance, d'avoir un mari et un bibi tellement adorable!

This morning at 6:30, Evan woke up. Jean-Robert got up to go get him. I called to Papa from the bed, I wanted to give Evan a kiss. But he took Evan and they went somewhere else for a few seconds. Then, there they were, in the doorway, Jean-Robert holding Evan in his arms and Evan holding a little box with both hands.

"Here, Mommy! I have a present for you!" J-R said in a baby-voice.

Evan did not want to let go of the box, so I had to pry it from his hands (not exactly the gracious way to accept a gift!). I opened the box and saw a beautiful necklace, in white gold with saphires and diamonds.

I am so lucky to have such a sweet husband and bibi!

Il bouge, ce bibi!

Voila...la premiere fois qu'on le lache vraiment, pour le laisser essayer de marcher (remarquez Papa derriere, pret a l'attraper s'il tombe!).
Here it is...the first time that we really let him to go, to let him try walking (note Papa just behind him, ready to catch him if he falls!)
Evan marche a quatre pates depuis envers une semaine.
Evan has been crawling for about a week now.

Un week-end dehors

A weekend out...

Un samedi matin de baseball--aux 'batting cages' (parce que les parents vont jouer du 'softball' ). On n'avait pas beaucoup de photos, mais ici, Evan regarde des gens qui tapent les balles...

A Saturday morning at the batting cages (because the parents are going to play softball). We didn't have many photos of this, but here, Evan is watching people hit the balls...
Et puis un peu de travail sur la pelouse...
And then a bit of work on the grass...
Et aujourd'hui, il a fait tres tres chaud. On a fait un BBQ, et Evan a 'nage' dans le jacuzzi avec Papa et Maman. Evan adore l'eau. Il bat des pieds tres fort, et quand Papa l'asperge de l'eau il rigole. Papa a fait peur a Maman parce qu'il a mis la tete d'Evan sous l'eau pendant une demie seconde (Evan avait la bouche ouverte, il a tousse un peu mais il sourriait quand meme). L'eau le fatigue beaucoup--il dort bien apres un 'grand bain' et puis le bain normal.

And today it was very very hot. We did a BBQ and Evan 'swam' in the jacuzzi with Daddy and Mommy. Evan loves the water. He kicks his feet so hard, and when Papa splashes him he just laughs. Papa scared Maman by putting Evan's head under water for a half a second (Evan had his mouth open, he coughed a little but was smiling anyway) The water tires him out--he sleeps well after the 'giant bath' and then the normal bath.

Il n'a pas bien dormi! C'est parce que j'avait ecrit qu'il allait bien dormir. Evan aime me contredire ;).
He did NOT sleep well! It's because I wrote that he was going to sleep well... Evan likes to prove me wrong ;).
