Evan dort, Evan joue

Evan dort dans son grand lit (cette sieste a dure 3 heures!).
Evan sleeps in his big bed (this was a 3-hour nap!).

OK, c'est un peu bizarre...Evan adore aller dans son nouvel panier a linge. Il a meme joue dedans pendant 15 minutes!

OK, it's a bit strange... Evan loves going in his new laundry hamper. He even played in it for about 15 minutes!

Grand garcon / Big boy

Evan est un grand garcon, alors maintenant il a une chambre de grand garcon et un grand lit. J'ai beaucoup travaille hier pour demanager et organiser tous ses jouets et ses vetements dans sa nouvelle chambre. Et Jean-Robert et moi, on est epate comment Evan s'adapte facilement au changements... Apres le matin, quand je disais, "Mets ca dans ta chambre", Evan allait directement dans sa nouvelle chambre. Et si je disais "C'est dans ton ancienne chambre" il me corrigeait: "La chambre BEBE, Maman!"

Evan a joue toute la journee dans sa nouvelle chambre (le plupart du temps, tout seule), content de ses jouets, comme s'il les redecouvrait. Il a rale un peu avant la sieste ("Non! Evan dodo petit lit!") mais apres un moment il s'est endormi tout seule dans le grand lit. Aussi il s'est reveille ce soir a 1h30 le matin, en hurlant--il s'etait descendu du lit mais il n'arrivait pas a ouvrir la porte de sa chambre. Je suis restee avec lui dans le lit un moment--j'y suis allee 2 fois--mais j'ai fini par le laisser pleurer, parce que des que je partais, il se reveillait. Alors il s'est rendormi apres 1 heure de ronchonnements.

Evan is a big boy, so now he has a big boy room and a big bed. I worked a lot yesterday, moving and organizing all of his toys and clothes in his new room. Jean-Robert and I are amazed at how easily Evan adapts to change. By noon, when I said "Put this in your room," Evan would go directly in his new room. And if I said "It's in your old room" he corrected me: "The BABY room, Maman!"

Evan played all day in his new room (mostly by himself), happy, as if he were rediscovering all of his toys. He complained a bit before the nap ("No! Evan sleep teeny bed!) but after a while he fell asleep by himself in the big bed. He also woke up at 1:30am during the night, screaming--he had gotten out of the bed but he couldn't open the door of his room. I stayed with him in the bed for a while--2 times I went back--but in the end I let him cry, because every time I left he woke up. So he fell asleep alone after an hour of whining.

Un weekend avec les copains

A weekend with friends

Samedi soir: un "play date" avec le meilleur ami d'Evan. Les parents de Jeremy sont sortis, alors on a garde Jeremy comme ils ont garde Evan une fois. Les garcons etaient fous de joie, tellement excites, mais ca fatigue aussi--ils dormaient a 21h!

Saturday evening: a play date with Evan's best buddy. Jeremy's parents went out, so we watched Jeremy like they watched Evan once a while back. The boys were insanely happy, so excited, but that's tiring too--they were sleeping by 9pm!

Et puis dimanche--une apresmidi avec la meilleur copine, Jeanne! On s'est beaucoup amuse a la plage. Evan et Jeanne etaient si contents!

And then Sunday--an afternoon with his best (girl)friend, Jeanne! We had so much fun. Evan and Jeanne were so happy!

OK, pour vous qui ne me voyez pas souvent et vous demandez--a quel point elle est grosse? Voila--et je ne suis qu'a 6 mois!

OK, for those of you who don't see me often and wonder--how big IS she? Here I am--and note I'm just at 6 months!

Et une petite video, ou Tim faisait le "serpent"--oh, qu'on a rigole, et qu'Evan a pleure (le pauvre)! Tim a fait cette blague plusieres fois et voila la derniere fois...(c'est pour ca qu'Evan croit c'est un serpent des qu'il voit ce truc).

And a little video with Tim doing the "snake"--oh, how we laughed, and how Evan cried (the poor bibi)! Tim did this joke several time, this was the last time...(note that Evan thinks it's a snake right when he sees the thing).

Une soiree pour Papa et Maman...

On est alle a Toulouse, pour aller a un bon resto et on est passe une nuit a le Grand Hotel de l'Opera. C'etait le jour de mon anniversaire. L'hotel etait merveilleux...

We went to Toulouse, to got to a nice restaurant and we spent the night at the Grand Hotel de l'Opera. It was the day of my birthday. The hotel was amazing...
