Happy birthday, Evan! He's 3 now!

La fete d'Evan etait merveilleux! Evan etait tellement excite qu'il n'a pas la sieste, et il parlait de sa fete pendant une semaine. Il faisait tres tres chaud (37 degres et tout le monde s'est beaucoup amuse dans la piscine.

Evan's birthday party was wonderful! Evan was so excited he couldn't sleep at naptime, and he's been talking about his party for a week before. It was very very hot and everyone had lots of fun in the pool.Evan tape la pinata...

And in the evening, Akhil came over! They played together, and before saying bye, they do a high five!

And Elia, what is she doing? Chillin'!
C'est Papa et Tonton qui l'a gardee pendant la fete! Elle a dormi beaucoup.
Papa and Uncle watched her during the party. She slept for most of it.

Happy Papa Day!

Ce matin, on a mange des doughnuts et bagels au lit (a 7h00, c'est Papa qui est alle les chercher), et Elia a mit son body special pour Papa...

This morning we ate doughnuts and bagels in bed (at 7am, Papa went to get them), and Elia put on her special onesie for Papa...(Je vais faire un tshirt pour Evan aussi, quand je trouve un tshirt blanc.)
(I'll make a tshirt for Evan too, once I find a blank white shirt.)

Papa is American!

Hier etait la ceremonie pour preter sermant pour devenir americain. On y est alle tous--Evan, Elia, moi, et des copains. C'etait tres interessant. Oh, hier etait aussi notre 4me anniversaire de mariage!

Yesterday was the ceremony to take oath to become American. We all went--Evan, Elia, and some friends. It was very interesting. Oh, and yesterday was also our 4th wedding anniversary!

As for the wedding anniversary, we celebrated by having mexican takeout and JR worked from home...meaning, we did not celebrate. We will go out to dinner when Tatie and Tonton come and can watch the kiddies!

Pour notre anniversaire de mariage, on l'a fete avec de la cuisine mexicaine a emporter, JR a travaille de la maison...ce veut dire, on ne l'a pas fete. On va sortir quand Tatie et Tonton arriveront, ils peuvent garder les enfants!

Last night: Elia loves being in Papi's arms--she falls asleep and is totally calm...Qu'est-qu'on mange pour le diner? Le prime rib roast cuit au BBQ (mais, "cuit" est une expression pour moi, l'americaine, parce que c'etait saignant! Mais mon Bibi a fait cuire un morceau pour moi, plus longtemps ;). ) C'etait tellement bon! Regardez comment Grandpere se depeche a table pour manger!

What's for dinner? Prime rib roast cooked on the BBQ (but "cooked" is an expression for me, the American, because it was totally rare! But my Bibi cooked a piece for me longer ;). ) It was amazingly good! Look at Grandpere rushing to the table to eat!

On est alle au parc avec Papi et Grandpere. Evan a adore chaser les canards, pigeons, et les oies canadiennes.
