Super Mamie!

Ma grandmere est venue nous rendre visite. Elle habite en Oregon pres de ma tante et mon oncle. Elle est restee chez ma tante et mon oncle (d'autres) a Los Gatos pendant 2 semaines, et on s'est vu 3 fois. Comment elle etait ravie de rencontrer son arriere petit fils! Ma grandmere a eu 4 garcons, 1 fille--et tous les 5 n'ont eu QUE des filles! Alors elle a 13 petites filles et meme 3 arriere petites filles! Evan est le premier garcon depuis quelques generations. (Si ca continue, je vais avoir que des garcons....) Evan etait tres content aussi de voir sa Super Mamie!

My grandma came to visit. She lives in Oregon near my aunt and uncle. She stayed with my other aunt and uncle in Los Gatos for 2 weeks, and we saw her 3 times. How excited she was to meet her great-grandson! She had 4 boys, 1 girl herself--and all 5 of them had ONLY girls! So she has 13 granddaughters and even 3 great-granddaughters. Evan is the first boy in a couple generations. (If the pattern continues, I'm going to have only boys...) Evan was so happy to see his Super Grandma, too!
Ohmygosh! Don't you just wanna SQUEEZE those cheeks!
Et il y a 1 semaine et demi... il faisait assez beau pour manger dehors!
A week and a half ago... it was nice enough to eat outside!

Tummy time

Maintenant Evan deteste moins le "tummy time" (quand on le met sur le ventre). Il devient plus fort et peut se tenir mieux... Quand il commence il est en forme et tres content, et puis son humeur se degrade au fur et a mesure qu'il s'affaisse.

Now Evan doesn't hate tummy time as much. He's getting stronger and can hold himself up better. He starts out strong and happy, then his mood sags in direct proportion to the sagging of his body.

Ah, c'etait bon... alors ou est le biberon?
Ah that was good... now where's my bottle?
Sieste avec Sophie (je crois que Sophie devient son doudou de choix)
Nap with Sophie (I think Sophie is becoming his 'doudou'* of choice)

*'doudou' is like a blankie or some favorite toy that a child has to comfort him...what's the English word???
