Nina!

Evan est amoureux de Nina. Il ne dit pas "Papa" ou "Maman" mais plutot "Nina", quand il se reveille, et toute la journee...

Kitty, kitty!

Hier Evan et Maman sont alles a Rancho San Antonio (comme un grand parc ou tout est protege, sauvage)--c'est a 10 minutes de chez nous. Maman a couru/marche pendent qu'Evan ralait dans la poussette (il prefere le supermarche ou les malls, ou il peut voir du monde, des lumieres, etc--ici il n'y avait que des arbres!). Il etait content de faire une pause dans une vielle grange pour manger et marcher dans la paille.

Yesterday Evan and Mommy went to Rancho San Antonio, 10 minutes from our house. Mommy ran/walked while Evan whined in the baby jogger (he prefers the supermarket or malls, where he can see lots of people, lights, etc. Here, there are only trees!). He was happy to take a break in an old barn, where he ate lunch and walked around in the hay.
Apres, je courais--je me depechais parce qu'Evan etait grognon--et une femme m'avait dit "Regardez!" La, dans une petite clarriere juste a cote de nous (et sans barriere), il y avait un lynx! Oh, how cute, le minou! Il attendait que quelque chose sorte d'un trou:

And later, I was running--I was hurrying because Evan was grumpy--and a woman told me "Look!" There, in a little meadow right to our side (no fence), was a bobcat! Oh, how cute, the kitty! He was waiting for something to come out of a hole:Non, les lynx ne sont pas mechant avec les humains, ce-lui la ne nous a meme pas regarde. Il n'etait pas loin! Evan n'etait pas trop interresse...
No, bobcats aren't mean towards humans--this one didn't even look at us. It was so close! Evan wasn't too interested...

Au Musee (At the Museum)

Hier Maman a emmene Evan au "Children's Discovery Museum" a San Jose--c'est un musee pour les enfants, ou ils peuvent tout toucher, explorer, etc.... C'etait genial. Evan l'a adore! Au debut il regardait partout, des yeux grands ouverts, etonne. Apres une ou deux heures, il criait tres fort parce qu'il etait tellement excite. Il s'est eclate.

Yesterday Mommy took Evan to the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose--a museum where children can touch everything, climb everything, etc... It was great. Evan loved it! In the beginning he was looking around everywhere with huge eyes, completely in awe. After an hour or two he was screaming in excitement. He had so much fun.

Wait for me, Evan!Et apres il a dormit des que je l'ai pose dans la voiture, et puis a la maison pendant 1 heure et demi. Maman a alors fait la pause aussi ;).
And afterwards he fell asleep the moment I put him in the car, and then at home for an hour and a half. Mommy had a break then too ;).

Alors, ca y est--la creche est finie et Evan est a la maison avec Maman! Jusqu'a ce que Maman trouve un travail, bien sur... Et qu'est-ce qu'on fait a la maison? Evan aime bien monter sur et aller dans les choses. Je vous jure que je ne l'ai pas force!

So, that's that--daycare is over and Evan is home with Mommy! Until Mommy finds another job, of course... And what do we do at home? Well, Evan likes to crawl on and in things... I swear I did not force him!

A la maison--hier et ce matin

Apres la plage hier, on est alle dans la piscine et le jacuzzi (c'est bien pour rincer le sable!).
After the beach, we went in the pool and the spa (good for rinsing off the sand!).
Avant la sieste ce matin, un peu de folie avec Papa...
Before the morning nap, some silliness with Daddy...
Maintenant...l'objectif est de prendre une photo de Laure...
Now, the objective is to get a photo of Laure...

La plage

Evan est alle a la plage pour la premiere fois, avec Laure, Virginie, David, Manon, Papa et Maman. Il y avait des grosses vagues, et ca le faisait un peu peur. Maman a essaye de lui montrer l'ocean, la plus grande piscine qu'il n'a jamais vue.

Evan went to the beach for the first time, with cousin Laure, Virginie (Laure's friend), David, Manon, Papa and Mommy. There were huge waves, which sort of scared him. Mommy tried to show him the ocean--the biggest pool he's ever seen.
Mais sous le parasol (que Papa et Ton-ton sont alles achete a l'arrivee), Evan etait tellement content. Il a joue avec Maman sous le parasol pendant quelques heures, et Papa a fait une sieste a cote.

But under the umbrella (that Papa and Uncle went to buy when we arrived), Evan was so happy. He played with Mommy under the parasol for a couple hours, and Papa took a nap next to us.Apres le yaourt a 16h30, Evan etait un peu fatigue...
After a yogurt at 4:30, Evan was a bit tired...Et voila une belle photo que Laure a prise, avec plein d'oiseaux derriere...
