Rancho and Deer Hollow

(Rancho San Antonio and Deer Hollow Farm)

Saturday we woke up early and went out for a trek to Deer Hollow Farm, at Rancho San Antonio. Well, Evan rode his bike, JR walked/jogged with him, and Mommy ran circles around them with Elia in the baby jogger.

Samedi matin on s'est reveille tot, et on est parti pour marcher jusqu'a Deer Hollow Farm a Rancho San Antonio. Evan a fait le velo, JR a marche/courru a cote de lui, et Maman a couru en cercles autour d'eux, avec Elia dans la poussette (de course!).
JR en train de courrir? Un vrai miracle...

Evan with the chickens. Yup, he made the necklace and really really wanted to wear it.
Evan avec les poules. Oui, il a fait le collier et il voulait le mettre.
Giant--I mean GIANT--pigs. You'd think I'd never seen farm animals before, the way I was taking photos of them all...
Enormes--ENORMES--cochons. On dirait que je n'ai jamais vu des animaux de la ferme, car je prennais plein de photos...
Papa et Evan...
Afterwards we ate at a nearby diner for brunch. Elia tried pancakes, eggs, and sausage (liked the pancakes, but full body shudders from the sausage accompanied with gagging and grimacing).
Apres, on a mange dans un petit resto a cote, pour le "brunch". Elia a goute des pancakes, les oeux, de la saucisse (elle a aime les pancakes, mais elle a deteste la saucisse--tout son corps tremblait, et elle faisait des grimaces).
Evan, after consuming: 7 small pancakes, half a slice of french toast, 3 strips of bacon, one glass of orange juice, and half a strawberry milkshake. Then, when we got home, he said "I'm hungry" and ate an entire (big) apple.

Evan, apres avoir mange: 7 petits pancakes, un demi tranche de pain perdu, 3 morceaux de bacon, un verre de jus d'orange, et le moitier d'un milkshake a la fraise. Puis, quand on est rentre, il a dit "J'ai faim" et il a mange une grosse pomme.
